Throughout the day we notice that our eyesight is tired. A few but bothersome symptoms can alert us, such as blurred vision, a throbbing in the eyes, irritation, heaviness when reading, itching, among others.
The smart screens on our devices, the number of hours we spend on our phones, computers, or tablets, or watching television at an unsuitable distance can contribute to eye strain and cause what is known as TIRED EYES
Our eyesight, like other parts of our body, also experiences exhaustion, and therefore there are certain exercises that allow us to relieve this feeling of tiredness and thus regain comfort when seeing.
We've put together a short but effective list that will ease the feeling of Tired eyes:
1. Darkness allows our eyes to rest. Sit in a comfortable place, place your open hands over your closed eyes, and maintain this position for 1 or 2 minutes, using relaxed, deep breathing. Repeat this exercise 2 or 3 times.
2. Distracting your vision and breaking the focus on a single point or direction is very beneficial for eye health. Sitting comfortably with your back straight against the backrest, direct your gaze "to the horizon" in four directions: up, down, and to both sides. It is recommended to repeat this exercise two or three times.
3. Performing a gentle, circular massage on the eyelids helps to relax the vision.
4. Focusing and adjusting your pupils helps relax your eyes. One way to do this exercise is to place your right index finger in front of your eye, extend your arm so your forearm is at a 90-degree angle. Focus and unfocus on the horizon, using your finger as the focal point. The goal is to alternate between focusing on your finger and then on the horizon at a steady pace for one minute.
5. To improve the hydration of your eyes, you can perform the exercise of opening and closing your eyes 20 times, relaxing your muscles. facial muscles
